The Problem

It is very obvious that people who live in remote areas do not have immediate access to health services and their state of health and wellbeing is usually poorer compared to people who live in cities.

The Action

A group of resource personnel and experts in the field of Public Health Care were sent to select remote areas to :

  1. create health awareness in remote areas.
  2. interact with people in remote areas to have an idea of their knowledge in health and the need to stay healthy.
  3. educate people living in these remote areas on the need to regularly seek health services and visit health centres.

The Outcome

At the end of the study, the following were the results :

  1.  Massive health awareness was created in the select remote areas.
  2. The resource personnel and experts were able to interact with people in the remote areas and recorded their level of knowledge in health and the need to stay healthy.
  3. They were also able t educate people living in these remote areas on the need to regularly seek health services and visit health centres.
